How to Rip 2 VCD into 1 CD (DivX,AVI) File .::Complete GRAPHICAL GUIDE

Hello all

So I'm here to show how to make 1 cd ( 700 mb ) file of the 2 VCD of a movie or anything ...

and note that , this file will be playable on your VCD/DVD Player even after the files have been RiPPED !!!

so here we go ...

REQUiREMENTS :

[ Make sure that you install DivX codec and LAME MP3 codec , we will be using them ]

[ If U Don't Know How To Install LAME MP3 ACM codec Then------> Click Here ]



PROCEDURE :

Open the file as shown below:

STEP 1:







Note : if u cant see the DAT file , under the file type select (*.*) All files .
It will parse the file while opening using the MPEG-2 Filter ... let it do its job ....






STEP 2:


Then goto the video tab ... under the video tab goto the first option : Filters .... as shown below.......





STEP 3:


In filters window , click on Add button and add a filter called "" resize "" as shown ....






STEP 4:


DO NOT FOLLOW THiS iF YOUR ViDEO iS OF SQUARE SHAPE i.e. WiTHOUT THE BLACK ENVOLOP !!!


The Configuration window for the filter "" resize "" will come up...

Modify the settings for resolution as shown :






Hit OK to that window , click on the Cropping button to get the new window as shown :

Modify the settings as shown :






STEP 5:


Then goto Compression... under the video tab as shown :

In the list on the left side select DivX 6.2 ( or greater than 6.2 , mine might be not latest ) ... Then select the Configure button ...





Note that u might not see 4 Logical CPUs , as u might have 2 or one ...
If you have Core 2 Quad then u will see 4 , if Core 2 Duo or Dual Core u will see 2 else 1 ...



STEP 6:


Set the Quality as maximum ( move slider to extreme right ) and click on the calculator button as shown :





Then in the calculator window , put the duration of *** ENTiRE MOViE *** ...

add hours and mins and seconds properly !!!!

( the first part of my VCD was of 1hr 15min 56sec and 2nd was of 1hr 21min 59sec... so i have complete duration of 2hr 42min 55sec... as simple as that !!! )


next , set the size of file as 700 MB ...





Once entered these values , click Accept ...

Then hit OK to the configure window , compression window ...



STEP 7:


Click on the Audio tab and select FULL PROCESSiNG MODE and then click again on audio tab and click on Compression...





In the new window , Select the LAME MP3 in the list on the left and select 44100 Hz , 128 kbps CBR , Steoro 16KB/s





hit OK to that window ...




STEP 8:


Goto File--->Save as AVI...





Select destination for saving file , put name for the file to be saved ....





after that HiT OK and UNCHECK Show input video and Show output video checkboxes as shown :
this will help ur processor take a load off and focus on encoding !!!






End Notes :


---->the 2 files created ( each VCD will create one ) might be of different size ... dont worry , when joined they will give one 700 mb file !!!

---->u can save the processing settings for a particular movie by first doing the settings for one cd and then going to File--->Save processing settings... these u can directly load for next cd and proceed to last step of saving as AVI !!!
